Physician Assistants

Physician Assistants act as an extension of your physician and must be supervised by the physician. They can provide your care in consultation with your physician.

Nurse Practitioners

NPs are independent practitioners who work with other health care professionals like pharmacists, doctors, social workers, nurses and mental health workers.

Dietitians

Our registered Dietitians are nutrition professionals, trained in the use of nutrition to help prevent and control disease. Counselling sessions are offered as individual or group sessions to help develop a plan of healthy eating based on nutritional needs and medical history. Follow up appointments can be scheduled to monitor progress, answer questions, and provide support. Call our main line at 204-325-4312.

Human rights and social justice are at the core of this profession.   Social workers strive to enhance equality and equity of access for all community members. “My role is to walk alongside people when they don’t feel they know what the next step is”   Talk to your care provider about seeing our on-site Social Worker.

Kinesiologist

Inactivity has many negative health consequences including risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, poor mental health, and early death. A Kinesiologist is an exercise professional who has a 4-year undergraduate degree and additional training to help provide lifestyle and physical activity counselling. A Kinesiologist appointment may benefit you if you:

·        do not have time for exercise
·        are not sure what exercise is right for you
·        want to manage and prevent chronic disease
·        want to improve your quality of life and mental health
