The Winkler & District Health Care Board; comprised of representatives of the  City of Winkler, Town of Plum Coulee, Town of Roland, RM of Stanley, RM of Rhineland, Eden Mental Health Services, Salem Home, Dr. C.W. Wiebe Medical Corporation and Winkler & District Chamber of Commerce have been working cooperatively since  1996, and formally since  2001, when the new community medical centre partnership began.  With physician recruitment identified as a priority, the WDHC Board and the medical centre have successfully recruited and retained 9 physicians, with commitments from 5 more to come to Winkler over the next 2 years.  In a time when many rural areas are struggling to provide healthcare in their communities, Winkler & District is very fortunate to have a strong physician complement.

Most of the Dr. C.W. Wiebe Medical Centre's physicians specialize in family medicine.  Several have added areas of special interest to their practice such as sports medicine and anesthetics.  There is one orthopedic surgeon, one general surgeon and one obstetrician / gynecologist.   The clinic is also fortunate to offer the services of a Registered Dietician and Clinical Psychologist.
